Chelsea Sign Ukrainian Winger Mudryk From Shakhtar
LONDON, Jan 15 — Chelsea declared Mykhailo Mudryk as their fifth marking of the January move window today, after the Ukrainian winger finished his move from Shakhtar Donetsk to the Chief Association club.
In a proclamation, Shakhtar said they "will get €70 million (RM328 million) for the player and one more €30 million euros is conceived as a little something extra installment."
The 22-year-old has endorsed on an eight-and-a-half-year contract.
In a bustling exchange window, Chelsea have previously marked protector Benoit Badiashile, striker David Fofana and midfielder Andrey Santos, while forward Joao Felix joined the London club borrowed from Atletico Madrid recently.
"This is an immense club, in a fabulous association and it is an exceptionally appealing task for me at this phase of my vocation," Mudryk said in an explanation.
"I'm eager to meet my new colleagues and I'm anticipating working and learning under Graham Potter and his staff."
Mudryk, who was named Shakhtar's player of the year for a second year straight, got the attention with his exhibitions in the Bosses Association bunch stage where he scored three objectives and got two helps.
He is the second Ukrainian player Chelsea have at any point endorsed, after previous striker Andriy Shevchenko joined the Blues from AC Milan in 2006. He has eight covers for Ukraine.
Mudryk will support Chelsea's assault after Graham Potter lost advances Christian Pulisic and Raheem Authentic to injury.
